While the web interface to web SDRs is excellent a native client can offer some user interface enhancements.
- Frequency bookmarks
- Smoother tuning with keyboard shortcuts
- Audio output selection for piping audio to other applications
Note that this won't work with all WebSDRs. Some are also configured to kick off clients that are not web clients. Some allow a few API users. Many do work nicely though.
