FreeDV Neo

A simple FreeDV RADE V1 client built for macOS. Main window dominated by a waterfall display.


The waveform at the bottom of the window, when receiving, shows audio from the receiver until the decoder has sync when it shows decoded audio. When transmitting, your microphone audio waveform is shown.

Note that rig control uses the hamlib shared library. I compile from source to get the latest, you can also install with home-brew.

Hi, I'm Eisen - HK5OLL, I found your FreeDV Neo project and installed it on my MacMini M4. I don't do QSO yet, but it seems fine. I assume that the computer gets a little hotter while using FreeDV Neo, but I'm not entirely sure about that. Thank you very much for this initiative. I'll be in touch. All the best, 73.
