Toyota Yaris - won't start "Drive Start control malfunction" - easy fix

My wife hasn't driven her Toyota Yaris hybrid for some weeks and today when she tried to start it was shown a series of alarming errors.

Happily as well as indicating a serious problem with the car, these can also be a side effect of a low accessory battery. I opened the bonnet but there's no battery I could see. Turns out the fuse box has a special place for jump starting.

I charged at 8A for only a few minutes and the car started just fine. We took it for a drive.

Tnx Peter, I got a Yaris as well. I didn't know this. The battery seems to be in the back of the car. But never found it?? Luckely we use the car almost every day. 73, Bas
