ReplyDeleteI'm afraid I have a bit of difficulty believing that any significant internet traffic goes to/from Australia, particularly after viewing this excellent map of undersea cable capacity.
Really puts things in perspective if you ask me. Also: there's a cable from Port Headland to Jakarta?
(And no discussion of undersea cables would be complete without a reference to the amazing Stephenson epic Mother Earth, Mother Board.)
And speaking of cables...
ReplyDeletePete lamented the lack of cheap HDMI cables. I bought mine from Selby Acoustics, and couldn't be happier. Their 1m HDMI is only A$27.
